Cube Lofts & Extensions is a family-run building company based in Altrincham, run hands-on by its owners — known to clients as Bobby and Mike — across South Manchester and North Cheshire. The business was established as a limited company in 2021, but the experience behind it goes much further: the owners bring 25+ years of combined construction experience to every project, and that shows in the quality and the finish of the work.
We specialise in loft conversions, house extensions, garden rooms and garage conversions, and we manage every project start to finish. Because we’re family-run and the owners are on every job, you deal directly with the people building your project — honest advice, clear communication and high-quality workmanship, with a tidy, considerate site throughout. We’re members of the Federation of Master Builders, fully insured and VAT registered, and our work is signed off to current Building Regulations.

It depends on the project. A garden room or garage conversion is often a couple of weeks, while a loft conversion or extension can run from a few weeks to a couple of months. We give you a realistic timescale up front and keep you updated throughout.
For most loft conversions the work is contained upstairs, so you can usually stay in your home and don’t need to move out. For larger extensions we plan the work to keep your home usable wherever possible and let you know in advance about any busier stages.
We’re based in Altrincham and cover South Manchester and North Cheshire, including Hale, Wilmslow, Timperley, Sale and Knutsford, along with nearby areas such as Bowdon, Hale Barns, Lymm and High Legh.
Our standard working hours are weekdays. We’re happy to discuss your project timing at the survey so we can plan the work around what suits you.
Yes — we keep a tidy, considerate site throughout the project and clear up properly on completion, handing the finished space over ready to use.
